Speaking of matcha powder, how much do you know?

Matcha is made from the leaves of shade-grown tea tree(known as Camellia Sinensis). Matcha tea stems are typically removed during the production process because they can add a bitter taste to the tea, which are handpicked and then steamed, dried, and deveined before being ground into a fine powder. Our matcha raw materials are original from Guizhou, China. It is made from young tea leaves that are grown in the high altitude regions of Guizhou, which gives the tea a unique flavor and aroma.

Shading enhances the processes of synthesis and accumulation of biologically active compounds, including theanine, caffeine, chlorophyll and various types of catechins. Matcha contains about three times more antioxidants than high quality regular green tea. It has gained popularity as an ingredient in drinks, desserts, and other culinary creations.
